My goal is to help you establish a healthy sleeping foundation for your baby, and have your baby develop consistently good sleeping habits. Those two pieces are vital for his/her development as well as the well-being of your whole family.

I work with parents to:
* Convert from using sleep aides (car rides, swings, rocking/nursing to sleep) to having an independent sleeper who will fall asleep on their own, and stay asleep throughout the night.
* Ease through transitions such as switching from breast to bottle, and crib to bed.

I also:
* Help new parents avoid the most common sleep mistakes and eating habit mistakes that contribute to poor sleep patterns.
* Help parents foster positive eating and sleeping habits in their babies as they grow.
* Teach parents what elements in their environment promote good sleeping patterns in their toddlers and infants.
* Teach parents about the sleep/eat/wake cycle, and the importance of wake time being the preparation for the sleep time.

I believe that the gift of sleep is the best gift you can give your child. Keeping your child dependent on you for sleep takes away the opportunity for them to learn to comfort and soothe themselves. A child who can comfort himself learns to be more independent, has a better self-image, and develops a solid sense of self-mastery.
